Govt is continuously monitoring illegal mining in State :  Panwar

Said, Strict action also being taken against those involved in such activities

Haryana cabinet minister Krishan Lal Panwar said that the state government is continuously monitoring illegal mining in the state and strict action is also being taken against those involved in such activities. Panwar was responding to a question asked by MLA, Umed Singh from Badhra constituency during the ongoing budget session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha today.

He said that in 2014-15, an e-auction was conducted by the department for mining in Ramalwas village, Badhra Assembly constituency. M/s Kayden Infra Pvt. Ltd had offered the highest bid of Rs.14. 35 crore in the e-auction. After obtaining the necessary EC and CTO, mining operations at the site began on June 14, 2016. During the agitation, mining operations were stopped by the administration and subsequently, the operations were suspended by the Mining officer on October 28, 2024. Thereafter, on the recommendation of the Mining Officer, the mine was terminated on December 11, 2024.
